Internal Progression

Internal progression is about you moving on to another Solihull College course when you have completed your current course. You may want to move on to the next level, improve your employability or go on to study a Higher Education course such as an HND or Degree? If these are options you are considering then the internal progression route is for you.

The process is an easy one and means that you don't need to re-apply as an external applicant again through the College admissions process.

 

Step 1

• Discuss your options with your course tutor
• You may decide to talk through your plans with one of the Careers Officers

Step 2

• Complete an internal application form (available from the Admissions Team)
• Your Tutor will complete a Personal Tutor Progression Reference form to be considered by the interviewing tutor

Step 3

• You will be invited to attend a specialist internal interview (where staff will assess your suitability for your chosen course)
• An offer of a place will be made accordingly
