What's available at the Open Access Centres?
Our facilities in the Open Access Centres at Blossomfield and Woodlands campus include:
- Access to the internet, e-resources and printing
- Scanning and colour printing
- Computers with large screen monitors
- Adjustable table for wheelchair users
Support for students with additional needs includes:
- Help with locating and accessing learning materials on the college network
- One to one help with getting started on the computer
- Support with using different Microsoft Office and MAC applications
- Help with adjusting computer settings to meet individual requirements
- Help with setting up the PC if you wish to bring in and use your own keyboard skin overlay, trackball and/or mouse
Assistive software to support students with disabilities includes:
- Read and Write
- Dragon naturally speaking
- Accessibility features available through the Windows Operating System or Internet Explorer
Please ask if you require a headset to use specific software.
