Rules & Regulations
Do...
- Book in with your own, current ID card for every Open Access visit
- Treat the Open Access Team with respect - they are there to help you
- Use your personal login and password so you can save files on your "H" (home) drive. "H" is the safest place to save your work
- Log off fully when you finish
- Leave your workplace clean and tidy for the next user
- Silence your mobile phone or personal stereo so nobody else can hear it
- Save your work regularly - it's sensible to have two copies with different file names in case one file becomes corrupted. If you save on a USB drive remember to close the file on screen and ejecting it properly before removing the drive (staff can advise on this if you are not sure)
Don't...
- Use inappropriate Web sites
- Leave the room with your machine logged in - it will be shut down and any unsaved work will be lost
- Move chairs while sitting on them - for your own safety please avoid this hazard
- Eat or drink in Open Access rooms or have food or drink near computers
- Make excessive noise - loud talk or other noise may disturb the work of others
- Lend your ID card to anyone else or use another person's ID
