Student Liaison
The Student Liaison team are here to make your time outside of lessons fun, interesting and informative. The College is firmly committed to the belief that 'Every citizen matters' and as such events around the themes of health, staying safe, making a positive contribution, achieving economic well-being, enjoyment and achievement are organised throughout the academic year. These include:
- Trips - Clothes Show, Alton Towers, paintballing.
- Events - Black History, Diversity Week, Healthy Living, Green Week, World Aids Day, Stop Smoking
- Sports sessions - sports tournaments, badminton, cricket, basketball, table tennis.
- Workshops - sexual health, drugs awareness, alcohol awareness.
- Learner Voice activities - Student Council, Student Rep training, Student Conference.
- Volunteering - mentoring, conservation work, sports coaching, fundraising.
Our office is located in the student social area at Blossomfield campus - The Link. Here you can relax, listen to music, play games and talk to us about what you'd like to see going on at college. You can also help us out - planning events, themes and trips and promoting everything we do, and use the hours you have volunteered towards a certificate.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the Student Liaison notice boards around the campuses to find out what's happening in and around College. Most importantly, don't forget to get involved!

Sport
Come and get involved in Sport and Physical recreation. There are a wide range of Sports and other activities you can take part in. There is everything from traditional sports such as football, basket ball, badminton, cricket, tennis, golf and volleyball to more fitness and fun activities like circuit training, personal training sessions, Pilates, Spinning, Salsacise, and Street dance. We want you to enjoy your time here at the college so let us know exactly what it is you want to do and we will try and make it happen. We also enter men's and women's football teams into the Colleges regional leagues, which run from September-April, and play in cricket competitions during the summer term. For those who already compete in a sport, there are opportunities throughout the year to compete in British Colleges Sport (BCS) competitions.
The sports department also runs sports coaching qualifications and lifesaving awards to help you find part time work in sport and leisure and earn and learn, great to have on your CV and it can keep you in spending money while at college.
We have fantastic sporting and fitness facilities. The sports complex is home to a 5 court sports hall and a fully equipped fitness gym and dance studio. We also have regular access to an on site, full size, all weather pitch and a 9 hole pitch and putt golf area.
